Sean Koerner, our Director of Predictive Analytics, is highlighting his favorite player props as the opening slate of First Four games tip off. Koerner — whose brackets for the last two NCAA Tournaments finished in the 99th and 95th percentiles on ESPN — has a 77-70-2 (52%) all-time record on NCAAB bets he’s tracked in the Action app.
6:40 p.m. ET
Grant Basile Over 8.5 Rebounds (-130)
Bryant’s 69% defensive rebound rate ranks 309th at KenPom. Basile leads Wright State starters in OR%, meaning he should have some extra offensive rebound chances in a fast-paced game.
We’re projecting him for closer to 10 rebounds, giving him a 65% chance of going over 8.5 rebounds.
Pick: Over 8.5 at DraftKings
Charles Pride Under 9.5 Rebounds (-135)
Wright State will attack Bryant’s 2-point funnel defense, which should result in higher percentage shots and thus fewer rebound chances for Pride.
We’re projecting him closer to 8.5 rebounds, giving him a 64% chance of staying under 9.5 on Wednesday night.
Pick: Under 9.5 at DraftKings
Tanner Holden Over 19.5 Points (-111)
This is a great spot for Holden, who should be able to take advantage of Bryant’s 2-point funnel defense. Bryant also likes to push the pace (ranks seventh in tempo at KenPom) so this should be a fast, high-scoring game.
We’re projecting this closer to 21.5 points and have him going over 19.5 60% of the time.
Pick: Over 19.5 at FanDuel
