I haven’t given up on Maverick and Coach Bowie. They were out of sync last week against Nevada, but Coach Choate is a defensive guy who can make life hard on opposing QBs and playcallers. This Hilltopper system is about stacking completions and Missouri State is allowing opposing passers to hit 70.6% of their passes, 3rd worst in the FBS. WKU will also play incredibly fast, and that NASCAR tempo gives us the plays we need to hit this over. MO State’s Jacob Clark has been two QBs. Against quality P4 comp in USC and SMU, he was under constant fire in the pocket, took 10 sacks and threw 5 INTs. Against Marshall and UT Martin, he completed 70% of his attempts, hit 6 TDs agaisnt one INT. James BlackStrain his top target is back healthy, and I think he can expose a Hilltopper secondary that has good numbers but has yet to face a team that wants to beat them through the air for four quarters. Toledo was happy running for 300 yards, Sam Houston was a mess, North Alabama was an FCS team and Nevada is relying on Chubba Purdy who is awful. Both teams light it up here and gun for 70 total points.
