The 2024 NFL is still a month away and there's no question who the No. 1 pick will be in April: Caleb Williams is -8000 to go first overall. The No. 2 pick is less assured with 2023 Heisman quarterback Jayden Daniels listed as the favorite at -145 odds and quarterback Drake Maye trailing him on the board at +170.

But the quarterback with the third-best odds to go No. 2 is getting the attention lately. J.J. McCarthy's odds to be the No. 2 pick in the NFL Draft moved significantly at FanDuel on Monday from +1000 to +400.

Here's a current look at McCarthy's odds to be picked second in the 2024 NFL Draft and his odds to be picked by every team in the NFL.

J.J. McCarthy Analysis

By Collin Wilson

If anyone was ever going to watch tape, plug in TCU Fiesta Bowl College Football Playoff game from 14 months ago. McCarthy really showed how great he can be outside of the pocket, the arm strength and the Favre type attitude.

His Turnover Worthy Play ratio crept up every season, but he did improve on pressured passing from the year before.

Whats really puzzling is how Michigan shut him down in the second half against Penn State this season. Once then-Michigan head coach John Harbaugh was suspended, the team put kid gloves on him and never let him throw.

McCarthy has as high of a ceiling as as any quarterback going in the first round, but he also has the lowest floor.
