Arizona Cardinals Betting Preview: Reality Hurts

The Cardinals immediately forced us to reevaluate them after an opening-week win over the Chargers, but reality has set in — Arizona is a pretty bad team that just managed to look good against an even worse team.

The Cardinals' offensive line injuries have caught on to them, and Jacoby Brissett is simply not the same quarterback when forced to operate under pressure. Prized draft pick Jeremiyah Love has also large been ineffective while also nursing a lingering ankle injury.

When stepping up in class against the Seahawks and Lions, Arizona was blown out by 24 points in both contests — and both of those games were at home.

The Cardinals defense simply cannot generate stops, and the team may already be sellers at this juncture of the season, having just parted ways with Marvin Harrison Jr. last week.

Los Angeles Rams Betting Preview: The Perfect Get-Right Spot

The Rams have navigated a ridiculously difficult travel schedule and are finally in a prime get-right spot.

Sean McVay absolutely owns the Cardinals. He is 16-3 straight up and 14-4-1 against the spread against Arizona — the best mark against any opponent by any head coach in the Super Bowl era.

Los Angeles can consistently generate defensive pressure against Jacoby Brissett without needing to blitz, and the offense should be able to march up and down the field against a lackluster Arizona defensive unit.

We rightfully bashed McVay's game management from Monday Night Football, but the talent mismatch here is huge.

Cardinals vs Rams Prediction, Betting Analysis

You generally want to avoid laying double digits in the NFL, but this matchup has blowout written all over it.

Sean McVay historically dominates the Cardinals, and Arizona's battered offensive line seems destined to collapse against the Rams' defensive front.

Expect a big bounce-back performance from Los Angeles.

Pick: Rams -12.5 (-108)
