Smith has been my go-to guy over the last month. I’ve bet him each week and he’s rewarded me with a TD in three of the last four games.
However, sportsbooks were at least giving me close to fair odds on his prop with something in the range of +200 to +250. As of 7:11 p.m. ET Sunday, we’re getting +190 at best, which is a fairly thin value for a variety of reasons.
The return of Dallas Goedert can’t be overlooked as Smith’s targets will go down as a result. Smith has averaged nine targets per game with Goedert out (three games) compared to just over six per game with him in the lineup. The Eagles are also likely to lean heavily on the run game after only rushing 18 times for 46 yards in the loss to the Niners. Philadephia normally averages 30 rush attempts per game. The Birds need to play their game and keep the Cowboys offense off the field.
I expected odds for Smith's Anytime TD at +210. Sportsbooks have been much sharper at limiting their exposure on primetime games and reducing the ATD odds upon release.
As we get to gameday and closer to kickoff, the sportsbooks will slowly increase the odds as the market matures. Couple that with competitive price matching and you might as well just wait to get a better price. Another option would be to wait until kickoff and bet live after you know who gets the ball first.

Eagles vs. Cowboys
Turpin is the most-profitable ATD scorer of 2023 at +33U in 11 games. He has four touchdowns and eight red-zone targets — the latter is sneaky because he only plays a handful of designed offensive snaps per game. That being said, he has more red-zone targets than the likes of Brandin Cooks and Michael Gallup.
Turpin plays a lot out of the slot which is good news against the Eagles as they've allowed to the most touchdowns to slot receivers this season. Philly also plays a lot of man coverage; Turpin has seen his yards per route run double when playing man (3.1) vs. zone (1.4).
Nick Giffen has fair odds at +550 for this prop so there's good value here.
