The 2024 NFL playoffs are set, but it's the NFLweather report for the Wild Card Round that's getting more attention than expected.

To start, after losing to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night, the Miami Dolphins now get to travel away from the friendly — and warm — confines of Hard Rock Stadium in South Florida to the frigid and hostile conditions that await at Arrowhead Stadium.

And speaking of the Bills, the latest NFL weather report for Sunday's wild-card game against the Steelers is cold and windy as well.

NFL bettors have taken note as both of these NFL Wild Card Round forecasts appear to be impacting odds for Dolphins vs. Chiefs and Steelers vs. Bills.

Though there's still plenty of time for both weather forecasts to change between now and the weekend, it's important to see what potentially awaits the players in these two games, especially since the betting market is already making adjustments.

NFL Weather Report for Wild Card Playoffs

Dolphins vs. Chiefs Weather Report

Saturday, Jan. 13 | 8 p.m. ET | Peacock

  • Opening over/under: 47.5
  • Current over/under: 44

According to the updated NFL weather report, it's expected to be cold, very cold, at Arrowhead on Saturday night.

Per the National Weather Service, low temperatures could dip below zero. Yikes.

And that doesn't even include the wind chill, which could drive the real-feel down even further.

With that said, the winds aren't forecast to be all that strong as of the time of writing, but when we're talking about temperatures this low, cold is cold.

Steelers vs. Bills Weather Report

Sunday, Jan. 14 | 1 p.m. ET | CBS

  • Opening over/under: 43
  • Current over/under: 36.5

Compared to the forecast for Kansas City, it's going to be downright balmy in Buffalo on Sunday!

Steelers vs. Bills does have the luxury of kicking off at 1 p.m. ET, which shows highs in the mid-20s, a 50% chance of precipitation and, perhaps most importantly, extremely windy conditions.

Breezes of 18-20 mph are expected throughout the game, which have clearly had a significant impact on the Steelers vs. Bills over/under movement thus far.
