49ers vs. Chiefs odds have been available for nearly two weeks, so the sample size of Super Bowl betting trends data is now large enough to provide insight regarding how the market is approaching the spread and over/under.

Super Bowl odds have seen very little movement since early last week, but examining where the action is going can help us understand how the public will continue betting the spread and over/under ahead of tonight's kickoff.

With the help of the Action Network's NFL public betting data, let's take a quick look at the latest Super Bowl betting trends, including where the tickets and money are landing heading into tonight's Big Game.

Super Bowl Spread Betting Trends

  • Ticket percentage: 67% on Chiefs
  • Money percentage: 76% on Chiefs

While the spread has remained eerily quiet for more than a week, the latest Super Bowl betting trends indicate that the majority of bettors, and money, are backing the Chiefs.

Still, the lack of line movement suggests that respected bettors may be coming in on the 49ers, allowing oddsmakers to keep the spread at Kansas City +2 (click here for updated Super Bowl odds).

Super Bowl Over/Under Betting Trends

  • Ticket percentage: 50% on under
  • Money percentage: 64% on under

The Super Bowl over/under, 47.5 as of the time of writing, is exactly where it opened, and tickets are evenly split to this point.

Fifty percent of bets have come in on the under, though a more lopsided 64% of the money has hit that side of the total as well.

While oddsmakers have not yet been motivated to move this line down, don't be surprised to see it tick to 47 if money continues to build on the under.
