Super Bowl MVP odds via DraftKings
There are no shockers at the top as Sam Darnold and Drake Maye are the two favorites to win Super Bowl MVP. As our Brandon Anderson noted, 12 of the 16 Super Bowl MVPs have been the winning QB since 2010.
Darnold was a revelation in the NFC Championship game, tearing apart the Rams defense to the tune of 346 yards and three interceptions. Maye, however, had a much tougher time in the AFC Championship Game; he had just 86 passing yards (with 65 rushing yards and a touchdown) in a snowy defensive struggle against the Broncos.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba starred alongside Darnold against the Rams. The Ohio State product caught 10 of his 12 targets for 153 yards and a touchdown. His odds before the NFC Championship Game were +1300 (and +2800 before the playoffs started) — he's now up to +650 as the third favorite with teammate Kenneth Walker, who had 62 rushing yards and a touchdown (plus four receptions and 49 receiving yards) against L.A.
Past his prime, former Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp is seen as a long shot at +1700.
