Carmine Carcieri's Sabalenka vs Siegemund Preview, Prediction

Aryna Sabalenka Betting Preview

After winning two Grand Slams in 2024, Sabalenka is still searching for her first major title of 2025. She lost in the final of both the Australian Open and French Open, so she's looking to break back through in London this week.

Well, Sabalenka is on the right course, as she hasn't dropped a set yet at the All-England Club, beating Elise Mertens, Emma Raducanu, Marie Bouzkova and Carson Branstine.

Most importantly, Sabalenka hasn't won Wimbledon in her career, making this her best opportunity yet as the No. 1 overall seed in the event.

If Sabalenka is going to cruise to the semifinals, she'll have to improve her win percentage on her second serve, which was only 39% in the Round of 16 vs. Mertens.

Laura Siegemund Betting Preview

Sitting outside of the top 100 at 37 years old, not much was expected out of Siegemund heading into this year's Wimbledon.

In fact, before this event, Siegemund hadn't reached the quarterfinal round in a single tournament this season.

Fast forward to last week, and the German beat the likes of No. 29 Leylah Fernandez and No. 6 Madison Keys on the grass.

But now the competition takes another step up as she runs into Sabalenka, who's beaten her in straight sets in both of their career meetings back in 2019.

Like Sabalenka, she too hasn't dropped a set in this event, which is beneficial for her fitness, especially at her age.

Sabalenka vs Siegemund Predictions, Betting Analysis

Siegemund was once ranked inside the top 30 in the world, so it's not surprising that her play can reach this level.

What's surprising is when it's happened and where. There were no indications of this run based on her play this season or in her past performances in London (just two victories at the All-England Club before 2025).

I think that stretch of solid play ends here, though.

Everyone is on a mission in the Grand Slams, but Sabalenka has even more motivation given how the last two majors ended for her, her history at Wimbledon and how wide open the draw looks moving forward.

She should get the job done with little resistance, giving herself yet another cardio edge in the semifinals.

Pick: Sabalenka -6.5
