The French Open's fourth round offers one of the best matchups so far in this tournament, with No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka facing Naomi Osaka on the Philippe-Chatrier Court in Paris.

Not all four-time Grand Slam winners are created equal, but Sabalenka and Osaka have each won the Australian Open and the US Open twice. However, Osaka did it between 2018 and 2021, and Sabalenka from 2023 to 2025.

Both players have yet to win Roland Garros, and Sabalenka was the only one to reach the final here (2025), so expectations are high.

Sabalenka vs Osaka Preview, Prediction

Aryna Sabalenka Betting Preview

After losing last year's final in Paris against Coco Gauff, as well as the last two Australian Open finals, Sabalenka hopes to finally take home some more hardware to silence doubters and cement her number-one status in the circuit.

The first week was a furious affair for her. She won all three rounds in straight sets and displayed a pretty consistent brand of tennis.

Sabalenka led in winners and unforced errors in all three matches, clear evidence of her aggressiveness.

Sabalenka has excelled in the return game and has been a killer on break-point chances, converting 6-of-9, 5-of-10, and 5-of-10 in each of the first three rounds.

Naomi Osaka Betting Preview

Naomi Osaka did well in the most recent clay season, reaching the Round of 16 in Madrid and Rome, where she lost to Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek, respectively, so her road might as well end here.

However, this should be a fun and interesting match when considering her style of play.

Osaka is a powerful baseliner who relies on a lot of ground strokes and will face an aggressive Sabalenka, which could make this into an all-out battle.

Her strong service will also clash with the No. 1's effective return game, so that will also be a key piece of Osaka's strategy to stay within striking distance throughout the match.

With 12 aces against Iva Jovic, five vs. Donna Vekic and four against Laura Siegemund, it's a weapon she will definitely need on Monday.

Aryna Sabalenka vs Naomi Osaka Predictions, Betting Analysis

Their head-to-head history is clear. Osaka's only victory came in 2018, and after eight years without facing each other, Sabalenka defeated her twice this year on hard court in Indian Wells, 6-2, 6-4, and on clay in Madrid, 6-7 (1), 6-3, 6-2.

Osaka barely prevailed against Jovic in the third round and should lose to Sabalenka. However, that won't help you much unless you parlay it.

The total line at 20.5 makes it difficult to go with the over, but the spread at +5.5, with Osaka expected to put up a fight, yields a much better payoff.

Pick: Sabalenka to Win / Osaka +4.5 (+190, DraftKings)
