Carlos Avilan's Sabalenka vs Zheng Preview, Prediction

Aryna Sabalenka Betting Preview

With a 38-6 record and three singles titles in 2025, Sabalenka would be the runaway favorite if this wasn't Swiatek's domain.

But things are never that simple in the WTA, and Qinwen Zheng can also claim to be the last champion in Paris after taking home the gold medal last year.

So, the World No. 1 must confirm her position by beating both, which she will probably have to do on her side of the bracket if she wants to lift the trophy on Saturday.

Sabalenka has been relentless, not losing more than three games in any set until running into Amanda Anisimova in the fourth round. Sabalenka was up 5-3 and serving for the set when the American broke and took her to a 12th game. Sabalenka then returned the favor and won 7-5.

Sabalenka relies on a powerful serve but is also quick to defend and counterattack. Against Anisimova, she hit 11 aces and improved her points won on second serve to 60% in the last set to beat her without any more worries.

She won all the short rallies (up to four shots) but lost the longer ones, so her rival's goal will always be to extend those exchanges over the net.

Easier said than done, of course.

Qinwen Zheng Betting Preview

While Sabalenka has been impressive, Qinwen Zheng isn't too far behind. She beat Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (6-4, 6-3), Emiliana Arango (6-2, 6-3) and Victoria Mboko (6-3, 6-4) in the first three rounds.

On Sunday, Zheng faced a real challenge from Liudmila Samsonova. The World No. 8 won a tiebreak to get ahead, but the Russian reacted by winning the second set 6-1.

Saving her strength for the final set, Zheng trusted her serve, hitting five of her 10 total aces to win 6-3 and advance.

If Sabalenka brings power, Zheng can try to match her. And contrary to Sabalenka, Zheng won the longest rallies (nine or more shots) against her past opponent.

It will be down to precision and who can take the crucial points. A chance to break will be worth gold in this match.

Sabalenka vs Zheng Predictions, Betting Analysis

The head-to-head is clear. Sabalenka has won six times, and Zheng only once.

What could favor Zheng? Her only victory is the most recent one: in Rome, also in the quarterfinals, on clay. She won in straight sets: 6-4, 6-3.

Sabalenka will analyze that match thoroughly and try to get the upper hand again. She is still the better player and will only need to improve her serve percentage and pounce on any chance she gets to speed up the game and hit a winner.

This should be one of the great matches of the tournament.
