Gauff vs Sabalenka Preview, Prediction
Coco Gauff Betting Preview
The 21-year-old Gauff will play her second Roland Garros final and her third Slam final. The 2023 US Open winner is looking to add another major to her resume and close the gap in the WTA rankings to see if she can catch Sabalenka and become World No. 1.
Gauff was probably relieved to see Sabalenka as her rival instead of Iga Swiatek.
The last three times Gauff lost at Roland Garros, it was Swiatek who sent her packing. The fallen champion beat the American in the 2022 final, the 2023 quarterfinals, and last year's semifinals.
This year, Gauff did not waste efforts in getting through the easier side of the bracket. During these two weeks, she conceded two games or fewer in eight sets while only going to a tiebreaker twice.
The only set she lost was the first one against Madison Keys in the quarterfinals. Gauff had seven double faults in that set, an issue that has not flared up again.
The best Grand Slam results in her career have been at the French Open (26-5, 83.87% winning percentage), and when she won the US Open, she claimed to be surprised since she always expected to win first in Paris.
Now, it's the time to realize that dream.
Aryna Sabalenka Betting Preview
Aryna Sabalenka is getting ready to play her "second final."
To her and everyone else, the previous match had that vibe, and she delivered by breaking Swiatek's 26-match winning streak at Roland Garros. It was just the third loss of Swiatek's career in Paris.
Sabalenka had to fight hard through two sets but played a spotless third one, where she found her serve and committed no unforced errors to win 6-0.
She will play in her third straight Grand Slam final — the first woman to do so since Serena Williams in 2016. Sabalenka has already played in six finals in 2025 and won three of them.
The 27-year-old had the most challenging path in this tournament and excelled against top rivals like Swiatek, Qinwen Zheng, and Amanda Anisimova.
The key to her semifinal victory over Swiatek was her aggressiveness, which allowed her to take chances and gain control of the points.
Sabalenka is looking for her fourth Grand Slam title and her first on clay, after winning the Australian Open twice (2023, 2024) and the US Open (2024).
Gauff vs Sabalenka Predictions, Betting Analysis
For the past 2 1/2 years, Sabalenka has been the best player in the world. Only Swiatek's hold on the French Open muddled that viewpoint, but Sabalenka is ready to prove she can win outside of hard courts, and she just beat the clay queen to drive that point.
Now, she will face another clay specialist, but nothing indicates a real disadvantage. Sabalenka moved swiftly on the court throughout the tournament and took points even Swiatek praised her for.
The finalists' head-to-head record is tied 5-5. Gauff has one important claim: they already met once in a Grand Slam final (2023 US Open), and she beat Sabalenka 2-6, 6-3, 6-2. Granted, Gauff had home-court advantage playing on American soil.
However, the last time they played on clay, Sabalenka was the one raising her hands in victory. It occurred in Madrid this year ,when she beat Gauff in the final match 6-3, 7-6(3).
Since then, Gauff lost the title to Jasmine Paolini in Rome; she will not want to lose her third final in a row. In this match, though, she is the underdog.
If Sabalenka comes out as she did in the semifinals — with her serve working, hitting with power, and taking chances — she will leave no more room to doubt her on any surface.
Pick: Sabalenka -3.5 (-118, BetMGM)
