Coco Gauff and Lois Boisson meet in the French Open semifinals on Thursday, June 5, at court Philippe-Chatrier. The match will tentatively start at 11:30 a.m. ET — but not until the conclusion of Iga Swiatek vs Aryna Sabalenka — and be broadcast on TNT, truTV and MAX.

Coco Gauff vs Lois Boisson Preview, French Open Prediction

Gauff Betting Preview

Everything has gone right for Coco Gauff. Her No. 2 seed helped her avoid Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek, the other semifinalists, until the decisive match on Saturday.

The 21-year-old Gauff has done her part by cruising through this side of the bracket, with the only challenge coming from another American, Madison Keys, who won the first set on a tiebreak in their quarterfinal match on Wednesday.

Under pressure, Gauff responded well and bounced back to win the remaining sets 6-4 and 6-1 to advance with a chance to play her second French Open final on Saturday after losing to Swiatek in 2022.

Ultimately, Gauff won more points than Keys on every type of rally and overcame her 10 double faults, seven of which came in that losing first set.

If she avoids those hiccups in her service game, she should come away with the win here.

Boisson Betting Preview

There is no telling now what Lois Boisson will do.

She became the third player since 1989 to reach the semifinals at her first Grand Slam tournament, following Monica Seles and Jennifer Capriati.

Before Roland Garros, Boisson had never defeated a top-90 player, and now she has already sent packing the sixth- and third-best-ranked players in the World. Now, she will play Gauff for the first time as well.

"My dream is to win it, not to be in the semifinals," Boisson said after beating Mirra Andreeva in two shocking sets, 7-6(6), 6-3.

Boisson tried 22 lob shots against the Russian and showed intensity and excellent mobility. Those are nice traits, although nothing explains how far she has come in Paris this past week and a half after entering the tournament on a wild card.

She shared practice with Jannik Sinner, probably picking up a few tips during the session, and keeps calling for everyone's attention in Paris.

Gauff vs Boisson Predictions, Betting Analysis

In this semifinal, Gauff was supposed to face Andreeva, a player she had already beaten twice in Madrid and Rome in preparation for this tournament.

However, Boisson seems to have no issue getting another top opponent out of the way. She will leave Paris as the No. 1 player in France after beginning Roland Garros in the 361st spot in the WTA rankings.
