As mentioned earlier in the tournament, it was scary for other players to see Iga Swiatek improving by the round. The Queen of Clay suddenly seemed to claim another surface — and then the semifinals arrived.
Swiatek's performance against Bencic was ruthless, and it's not like the Swiss didn't fight back. It was Swiatek's will to finish the game soon, and she did it in spectacular fashion — 6-2, 6-0 — with Bencic praising her after the match.
One of the main improvements is Swiatek's serve, always an important weapon, but more so on grass. The Pole won 83% of first-serve points in the semifinal and has made the most out of her service games throughout the tournament.
Aggressiveness is her trademark, and she has been at her most vicious in London, taking advantage of any shot left in the middle of the court to turn it into a winner with her swift forehand. Against Bencic, she won all six points at the net as well.
Amanda Anisimova will present a great challenge, but more than any groundstroke or game plan, experience should be the key for Swiatek in handling the biggest moments of the match, as she has done with every other opponent for the past two weeks.

Reaching a Grand Slam final is already a remarkable achievement for Amanda Anisimova. To beat Aryna Sabalenka as she did in the semifinals is reason enough to consider the American worthy of a chance to hoist the Wimbledon trophy.
Against Anisimova, Sabalenka had untimely double faults in the decisive games of the first and third sets, the ones won by the American, plus a few other mistakes.
Anisimova took advantage of them by not rushing the rallies and pouncing on every soft shot that came her way. Unfortunately for her, the usually collected Swiatek is another story.
