Swiatek vs Bencic Preview, Prediction

Iga Swiatek Betting Preview

Iga Swiatek is on a mission. She has dropped only one set in the tournament and did not hesitate against a tough rival like Liudmila Samsonova, sending the Russian packing (6-2, 7-5).

This is her best Wimbledon, but that probably means nothing to Swiatek yet. The chance to win this title is bigger than ever before, and she will need to show her best game to advance.

Swiatek knows Bencic very well. The Swiss gave her a scare two years ago, in the Round of 16 of this same Grand Slam, with Bencic being one point away from a win.

To reach the final, Swiatek must remain clinical with her groundstrokes while keeping her first serves in, which puts her in position to finish those points.

Against Samsonova, Swiatek won every point on first serve during the initial set, and that will probably be the key to keeping Bencic at bay.

Belinda Bencic Betting Preview

Belinda Bencic's comeback has been remarkable.

After being away from the tour in 2024 to give birth to her first child, the Swiss reached the Australian Open Round of 16 in January, climbed up to the 35th spot in the WTA rankings and is now playing the second Grand Slam semifinal of her career, after reaching this stage at the 2019 US Open.

Facing Swiatek could be either good or bad news, depending on how she feels about revenge. This match will likely bring back unpleasant memories for Bencic, recalling her heartbreaking loss at Wimbledon in 2023.

The Swiss had a one-set and 6-5 lead into the second set. Swiatek was serving, down 40-15, and managed to escape the game, win the tiebreak and force a third set, in which she would prevail 6-3.

Bencic is having a great year — with a 26-10 record — and the only blemish was the arm injury that forced her to retire just before the start of Roland Garros six weeks ago.

Swiatek vs Bencic Predictions, Betting Analysis

The good news for Bencic is that she knows how to make Swiatek uncomfortable. Bencic tends to play a lot of shots to Swiatek's backhand and can hold her own on long rallies, although one thing Bencic must do is reduce untimely double faults.

Swiatek leads the head-to-head 3-1, and that Wimbledon victory two years ago was their last encounter. The five-time Grand Slam champion will be challenged, but her focus and execution for the past two weeks have been unmatched.

She has reached her third straight GS semifinal this year and will not want to waste such a good opportunity.

Look for Swiatek to reach her first Wimbledon final.
