Swiatek vs Svitolina Preview, Prediction

Svitolina Betting Preview: Semifinals in Sight

With the most wins on clay this season and a great performance so far in this French Open, it is not easy to discard Elina Svitolina, even if Iga Swiatek is her opponent.

This will be the Ukrainian's fifth quarterfinal at Roland Garros, tying her best-ever showing, so Svitolina will want to break this wall and get to the semifinals for once. And if she beats the best to accomplish it, then who's to say she cannot dream about her first Grand Slam title?

If all that sounds like too much, keep in mind how great the Ukrainian has been in this tournament. Svitolina has won every set except the first one against Jasmine Paolini on Sunday, in a match in which she was the underdog.

Svitolina beat the World No. 4 and current Rome champion by taking the last two sets. She prevailed in a tough tiebreak to win 7-6(6) and then confirmed her excellent form by running away with the third set by the score of 6-1.

She kept her composure in the most challenging moments and converted seven break points. To keep Paolini off balance when approaching the net, she tried 13 lob shots.

Against the aggressive Swiatek, she will need all of her arsenal to stay in the game and force her opponent to make mistakes.

Swiatek Betting Preview: Iga Shows Mettle

Iga Swiatek just passed the first significant test. After losing the first set 6-1 to Elena Rybakina, many people probably thought her reign in Paris would be over.

It is uncommon to see the Pole struggle in these courts, and Rybakina surely made her sweat and worry. However, the Swiatek we all know showed up yet again to claim victory in the last two sets, 6-3 and 7-5.

The current French Open champion won 73% of points at the net and got 33 winners compared to Rybakina's 28. Swiatek remains on course to win her fourth straight title in Paris and fifth overall but will have to keep grinding against Svitolina.

Swiatek is no longer running away with matches as in years past but is still the player to beat here.

A victory will only mean another step on a treacherous path for her — or Svitolina — since the semifinal match would be against Aryna Sabalenka or Qinwen Zheng.

Swiatek vs Svitolina Predictions, Betting Analysis

This will be the fifth match between these great players, and the record favors Swiatek (3-1), who has won the last two meetings in straight sets on hard courts.

Svitolina defeated Swiatek on grass in three sets at Wimbledon in 2023, which was their only Grand Slam encounter.
