Carlos Avilan's Badosa vs Boulter Preview, Prediction

Paula Badosa Betting Preview

The biggest enemy in her career resurfaced in Berlin this month, putting her to the test. Paula Badosa had to retire due to another back injury and feared she would have to withdraw from Wimbledon.

Fortunately, she didn't have to. The doctors cleared her to play on Monday, after practicing without pain for the past few days, and the Spaniard hopes to continue without problems.

It has been such a recurring issue that even Katie Boulter sent her messages to wish her well. Badosa, when pain-free, has been a solid player this year, achieving her best major performance in January when she reached the Australian Open semifinals.

If this were on any other surface, Badosa would be a clear favorite, but Boulter performs best on grass, and if Badosa remains cautious regarding her back, the match could become quite grueling.

Katie Boulter Betting Preview

The British No. 2 will have the fans on her side, and although this is quite a tough debut match for her, she is not that much of an underdog.

In the WTA EloRatings, Boulter ranks 32nd on hard courts and 52nd on clay, but climbs all the way up to 18th on grass among her peers.

This is the Grand Slam where she performs best, with two of her three third-round major appearances in London (2022, 2023).

If she improves her serve numbers, she could give Badosa a run for her money. In this year's grass season, Boulter played the Round of 16 at the Queen's Club Championship and the quarterfinals in Nottingham's WTA 250.

Badosa vs Boulter Predictions, Betting Analysis

Badosa beat Boulter in her only previous encounter last year at Roland Garros, with a hard-fought three-set victory. In that match, the Spaniard had to come from behind after losing the first set 4-6 to win the next two 7-5 and 6-4.

Badosa has won 63% of her matches in 2025, compared to Boulter's 50%. Aside from the injury concerns, she is clearly the better player, even if the grass in London levels the playing field.

With a total of 21.5 and Boulter's ability on this surface, the over remains the better choice, barring any physical setbacks on Badosa's part.

Pick: Over 21.5 (-135, BetMGM)
