Djokovic has barley played any hard-court matches this summer, but he didn't look rusty in his opening-round match against Learner Tien, cruising to a three-set victory and clearing the game spread in the process.

Djokovic should advance via another straight-set win on Arthur Ashe on Wednesday.

Svajda, who has a level head and doesn't make many unforced errors, is no pushover, having won two Challenger Tour titles this season while beating Miomir Kecmanovic and taking Jiri Lehecka to three sets in D.C.

But he doesn't have much experience in majors (1-4 overall) and in main draws at the ATP Tour level in general (1-2 this year).

This is the biggest opportunity and match of Svajda's young career, so expect a valiant effort. However, Djokovic's experience and talent edge is just too significant for him to drop a set.

Pick: Djokovic to Win 3-0 (-125, DraftKings)

Frances Tiafoe vs Martin Damm Jr. Odds

Frances Tiafoe Odds-900
Martin Damm Jr. Odds+550
Over/Under36.5 (-115o / -120u)

Damm has tools that evaluators dream of — he's 6-foot-8, athletic and has a big lefty serve at just 21 years old. The American hasn't dropped a set through three qualifying matches and an opening-round victory over Darwin Blanch.

But now the competition rises as he faces Tiafoe in the second round.

Even though Tiafoe's season has been uneventful (24-18 record, but just one top-30 win), he has a major experience edge over Damm. In fact, Tiafoe has more semifinal appearances at the US Open than Damm has matches played in Grand Slam main draws.

Damm and Tiafoe haven't met before, which means adjustments will need to come early from Tiafoe on his return games.

That's especially meaningful when you look at the advanced stats off serve for Big Foe. He's just 38th in Return Rating on tour over the past 52 weeks and 49th on % of Break Points Converted.

Damm's potential advantage on serve is one of the reasons this total sits so high. However, I'm going to bank on Tiafoe's experience edge and familiarity on the biggest stage in New York.

A couple sets could be close, but I don't envision the 431st-ranked Damm grabbing one, even if his future is bright.

Pick: Under 36.5
