World No. 3 Alexander Zverev continues his chase for that elusive Grand Slam title on Saturday night. He has been in fine form at the US Open thus far.
After a shock first-round elimination against Arthur Rinderknech at Wimbledon, the German came back strong, reaching the semis at Canada and Cincinnati. Losing in straight sets to Carlos Alcaraz, however, revived questions of whether he's a match for tennis' current big two.
For Felix Auger-Aliassime, the objective is getting back to the top 10. The former world No. 6 started the year strong, with titles in Adelaide and Montpellier, but has since slowed down.
He was 2-3 in Grand Slams entering the US Open and crashed out of the Cincinnati tournament, losing 6-0, 6-2 to Jannik Sinner in the quarterfinals.
The head-to-head tally tells a self-explanatory story in this matchup, with Zverev leading 6-2, even if it's only 2-1 on hard courts. They last faced each other in Miami in March 2024, when the German took a comfortable 6-2, 6-4 win.
Neither has dropped a set at the US Open so far, but Zverev has looked far more comfortable, and I expect him to advance in the same fashion.
Pick: Zverev -4.5 and Under 39.5 (+116 via DraftKings)

Flavio Cobolli Odds | +215 |

Lorenzo Musetti is the undoubted favorite in this duel of Italians in the third round.
The world No. 10 was coming off disappointing results at Wimbledon and the North American tour, but has since pushed the always tricky Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard and hard-fighting David Goffin. Against Goffin, in particular, Musetti showed the fight and determination that his game has lacked at times, remaining steady after losing a 3-0 advantage in the first set and going a break down in the third.
Meanwhile, Flavio Cobolli has been the Italian player of the season (excluding Jannik Sinner). The Florence-born player lifted his first two ATP Tour titles in Bucharest and Hamburg, and made waves in Wimbledon by reaching the quarterfinals. His record since hasn't been stellar, however, going 3-3 on hardcourts since June.
For two Italians, both aged 23, who both turned pro around the same time, Musetti and Cobolli have spent very little time playing against each other. They've met just once — on clay — at the Challenger Tour level in 2020, which Musetti won.
Much more crucial to this matchup is the time each has spent on court in this US Open.
Cobolli doubles Musetti's match time, playing five-set thrillers in two matches so far — first against Francesco Passaro and then against Jenson Brooksby.
It could prove to be the deciding factor for Cobolli, who relies heavily on his speed, fitness and determination to win matches. If he fails to get under Musetti's skin early, it'll become a steep climb and I think the world No. 10. will take it.
Pick: Musetti ML and Over 37.5 Games (+154 via DraftKings)
