The Australian Open champion, Madison Keys, will give it another try at Wimbledon. In London, the American has not been able to get past the quarterfinals, which she reached twice in her career (2015 and 2023).

Last year, her departure from Wimbledon was especially heartbreaking since she had to retire due to a hamstring injury during her Round of 16 match against Jasmine Paolini.

With renewed confidence after her Grand Slam results in 2025, this is the best time for her to go all the way. This year, she collected her first major trophy in Melbourne and then reached the quarterfinals in Roland Garros, losing to eventual champion Coco Gauff.

On grass, she has the advantage against her rival today, Elena-Gabriela Ruse, whose preferred surface is clay. The Romanian did not advance to the second round at Wimbledon in her previous four tries.

Keys did not have a great grass season, but that shouldn't be a sign of alarm. She suffered a shocking semifinal defeat at the Queen’s Club Championship in London against qualifier Tatjana Maria, and then lost in Berlin to former Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova.

This match should bring back some cheerful memories for Keys. She won her only previous match against Ruse at the Australian Open in January in three sets: 7-6(1), 2-6, 7-5.

Pick: Under 20.5 (-118 via BetMGM)

Anna Bondar Odds+1100

This will be a rematch of a recent encounter at Roland Garros. In the second round in Paris, Elina Svitolina battled to send Anna Bondar packing after two intense sets, 7-6(4) and 7-5, in their first-ever matchup.

In London, they will meet again, and Svitolina remains the favorite. The margin of victory this time should be larger, as Bondar performs much better on clay than on grass.

Svitolina, while also stronger on clay, does not experience a significant drop-off in her performance on this surface.

The Ukrainian enters Wimbledon with a 30-10 record in 2025, following an excellent showing at Roland Garros, where she defeated Jasmine Paolini in the Round of 16 and lost to four-time French Open champion Iga Swiatek in the quarterfinals.

Svitolina should win in two sets, although the spread line at +6.5 for Bondar seems a better choice than going with the under at 17.5.

Pick: Bondar +6.5 Spread (-110 via DraftKings)
