After a quick Memorial Day break, the WNBA is back in action tonight with three games to look forward to. With a couple of 7 p.m. ET tips, the Phoenix Mercury will take on the lockdown defense of the Connecticut Sun on CBS Sports Network while the Indiana Fever will play host to the Los Angeles Sparks who come to town to face Caitlin Clark and company.

Last but certainly not least, the new look Seattle Storm will face a test against Teresa Weatherspoon's resilient Chicago Sky team on League Pass at 8 p.m. ET.

So let's go ahead and get into our best bets and predictions for Tuesday, May 28 in our WNBA best bets and expert picks for today.

Sparks vs. Fever

Caitlin Clark over 2.5 threes

By Bryan Fonseca

Caitlin Clark hasn't hit this in three games, but by God, she is launching the attempts.

Clark is just 32 percent from deep this season. Her five attempts last game against the Las Vegas Aces last game was the outlier, otherwise, she's attempted at least seven threes in every game as a pro, reaching double digits twice.

This is a bet on Clark to hit three threes largely based on volume, and the fact that they'll be favored against the Los Angeles Sparks, and a likely Fever win should mean an at least decent scoring performance from Clark, who is obviously three-point dominant.

Pick: Caitlin Clark over 2.5 threes

Mercury vs. Sun

Tuesday, May 28
7 p.m. ET
CBS Sports Network
Connecticut Team Total Over 86.5 (-114)

By Daniel Mataya

The Phoenix Mercury are second to last in the league in terms of Defensive Rating (103.7) and 1st in terms of pace (86.7 possessions per 40 minutes). The Sun have the size inside and are getting consistent play out of Ty Harris and Dijonai Carrington in the backcourt to feast on the Mercury defense, who will be without the services of Bec Allen also. I would play up to 88.5.

Pick: Connecticut Team Total Over 86.5 (-114)
