Boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez is set to return to the ring on Saturday night when he takes on Dmitry Bivol in the light heavyweight division, and bettors are unsure of who they want to back ahead of the bout.

Over half  the betting tickets (54%) are on Alvarez to secure a victory while 26% of the tickets are on Bivol to earn a major upset. According to data released by BetMGM, 21% of wagers are on a draw.

A majority of the money, however is sitting on Alvarez. The total handle has 86% of the money on the Mexican. The line has shifted from -400 to -450 at BetMGM, indicating it is respecting the significant money that is coming in on him.

Bivol accounts for just 6% of the handle, while a draw is actually a bigger liability at 8% of the handle.

This fight is a step up in weight class for Alvarez, as Bivol will have a natural size advantage in his natural division with his title on the line. The Russian Bivol has a 19-0 record and has recorded 11 knockouts on his way up the ladder, but this will be his biggest test by far.

He's gone from +300 to +350 on the moneyline, while the tie has shortened from +2000 to +1800.

T-Mobile Arena will be the host of this bout, with the main card starting around 8 p.m. ET. You can expect Alvarez and Bivol to walk out around 11 p.m. E.T for the main event.
