Saturday will mark a historic night in boxing with the biggest fight in women’s boxing history taking place at Madison Square Garden. Undisputed lightweight champion, Katie Taylor, puts her belts on the line against seven-division champion Amanda Serrano as the first women to ever headline a boxing card at the Garden.
Taylor (20-0, 6 KO) is making the sixth defense of her lightweight belts three years after she first became the champion at MSG in 2019. Serrano (42-1-1, 30 KO) has won 28 fights in a row since her only career loss in 2012 and has twice as many bouts on her resume despite being two years younger than Taylor.

|Fighter||Opening Odds||Current Odds||Implied Probability|
There’s been a significant shift in the odds in this fight since opening in January. Taylor was the favorite at most books when odds were initially listed, but the line has flipped toward Serrano.
Serrano has the experience edge and her proximity to the Paul brothers has likely added to her standing among public bettors. Still, this fight is expected to be close with Serrano’s implied probability of winning sitting just shy 54% based on the current odds.

Taylor Fight History
Taylor has been so dominant that she’s rarely has bettable moneyline odds in her fights. If she closes as the underdog, it would be the first time she wasn’t the favorite in a fight, per Pro Boxing Odds.
Serrano Fight History
Serrano is also used to being a massive favorite in her fights, but given the pedigree of both women, it’s no surprise she’s a short favorite entering this bout.
