2024 Byron Nelson Odds: Jordan Spieth Favored in Dallas

TPC Craig Ranch hosts this week's 2024 Byron Nelson for the fourth consecutive year as over 150 golfers will compete in this week's PGA Tour event in McKinney, Texas.

Dallas native Jordan Spieth opened as the betting favorite on Monday morning with +1600 odds at bet365, and Spieth is now tied for the shortest odds at +1700 with Si Woo Kim as of Wednesday morning.

2024 Byron Nelson Odds

Jordan Spieth is the outright betting favorite to win The CJ Cup Byron Nelson as of Wednesday morning at +1700 odds. The Texan is looking for his first win on the PGA Tour in over two years as his last win came in April 2022 at the RBC Heritage.

The last time Spieth played in The CJ Cup Byron Nelson was in the start immediately following his last win in 2022, and he would go on to finish second at TPC Craig Ranch that weekend as he finished one shot behind K.H. Lee. Spieth will make his 12th appearance at The CJ Cup Byron Nelson this week, and both of his top-10 finishes here have come in his two most recent starts in 2021 and 2022.

The last time Spieth teed it up in Texas, he tied for 10th last month at the Valero Texas Open in his third top-10 finish this season.

Defending champion Jason Day opened with the second-shortest odds to defend his title this week in the Dallas area at +1800 on bet365 and has since drifted to +2200. The Australian is now a two-time winner at The CJ Cup Byron Nelson as he won his first PGA Tour event here back in 2010 in his tournament debut. Day has three top-10 finishes this season and is also coming off of a tie for 18th in his most recent start at the RBC Heritage.

Si Woo Kim is the third and final golfer who opened at 20-1 or shorter at bet365 as he opened with exactly 20-1 odds and has since moved to +1700.

The South Korean has played this event each of the last three years with his best result by far coming last year, when he finished a stroke behind Day in a tie for second place with Austin Eckroat. Kim has had a high floor this season as he has finished in the top 45 in each of his 11 starts on the PGA Tour in 2024.

Kim's ball-striking has carried him as he ranks fourth on Tour in Strokes Gained (SG): Tee to Green, but his balky putter that ranks 141st in SG: Putting has held him back. Kim has been strong outside of the flatstick as he ranks among the top 30 on Tour in SG: Off the Tee, SG: Approach and SG: Around the Green.

Will Zalatoris opened at +2200 and drifted to +2400 as of Tuesday morning, but he has since withdrawn from the tournament after a back flare-up on Tuesday morning.
