2024 Masters Odds

Scottie Scheffler is the commanding Masters Tournament betting favorite at +420 as the 2022 Masters winner looks to capture a second major championship this week. The Texas Longhorn captured each of the last two signature events on the PGA Tour at THE PLAYERS Championship and the Arnold Palmer Invitational but now will have to contend with not only the best on the PGA Tour but also 13 of the best golfers on LIV Golf this week (at least most of them — sorry Talor Gooch).

Defending Masters champion Jon Rahm is one of those golfers from LIV in the field this week, and he has the second-shortest outright odds to win at Augusta as of Sunday afternoon at +1100. The Spaniard tied for second at the most recent major, The Open Championship, and is looking for his third major victory this week.

Rahm has played in five events so far in 2024, all LIV Golf tournaments, and has finished between third and eighth in all five, including his tie for fourth this weekend at LIV Miami.

Rory McIlroy is the third and final golfer with odds of 11-1 or shorter as of Wednesday afternoon at bet365 at +1100 as well. The Northern Irishman did not have a finish better than 19th in his first five starts on the PGA Tour in 2024 until this past weekend when he finished third at the Valero Texas Open following a bogey-free final round of 6-under 66.

His 3.7 strokes gained approach today are his most in any single PGA Tour round since Sunday of the 2022 Canadian Open when he shot 62.

Via Justin Ray on X, McIlroy gained more strokes on approach this week than he has in any tournament since 2019, and today's final round was his best on approach since the 2022 Canadian Open. He will head to Augusta with momentum as he looks to become the sixth male golfer to complete the modern career grand slam.

Tiger Woods is also in the field this week as he makes his second start in 2024 following his withdrawal at The Genesis Invitational due to illness. The greatest golfer of all time stands at 110-1 to capture his 16th major championship and sixth green jacket as of Wednesday afternoon, which is longer than his price of 100-1 that was available on Sunday night but also shorter than the 175-1 price he had drifted to on Monday.

These are also Woods's longest odds to win the Masters of his career as he has never been longer than last year when he closed at 80-1.

In his six official starts since the beginning of 2022, Woods has withdrawn three times, missed the cut in another start and has not finished inside the top 40. On one hand, Woods' leg should be in its best health over this span since 2022, and Augusta National fits his game as well as any course on Tour. On the other hand, walking 18 holes at Augusta is widely considered one of the most challenging on the PGA Tour as well.

Akshay Bhatia is the final golfer in the field for the Masters after his playoff win today at the Valero Texas Open punched his ticket to Augusta, and his odds opened at 100-1 on Monday morning and have shortened to 90-1 as of Wednesday afternoon.

Bhatia's left shoulder reportedly popped out of its socket after he celebrated making it into the playoff by fist-pumping, but he hung on to win on the first playoff hole after Denny McCarthy chunked his approach into the water short of the green. It is unclear if the shoulder will affect Bhatia this week at Augusta.

In his first PGA Tour win at the 2023 Barracuda Championship, Akshay Bhatia made a putt from about 15 feet to force a playoff, which he won.

In his second PGA Tour win at the 2024 Valero Texas Open, Bhatia made a putt from 11’6” to force a playoff, which he won.

The other golfers in the field with outright odds shorter than 20-1 at bet365 on Wednesday afternoon include:

  • Xander Schauffele (+1500)

  • Brooks Koepka (+1900)

Some other notables in the field this week and their outright odds include Jordan Spieth (+2200), Ludvig Åberg (+2700), Joaquin Niemann (+2700), Viktor Hovland (+3200) and Bryson DeChambeau (+3500).
