DraftKings Launches LIV Golf Daily Fantasy Sports Contests Starting in Portland

As LIV Golf continues to expand with bigger names and better players, the gambling options are growing, as well.
With LIV set to introduce its newest members — Brooks Koepka, Matthew Wolff, Carlos Ortiz and more — in Portland this week, DraftKings has launched daily fantasy sports (DFS) contests for the event.
“DraftKings is committed to providing a world class customer experience, including giving our millions of loyal fans the opportunity to engage with the widest variety of sports offerings in the industry,” said Stephen Miraglia, a spokesperson for DraftKings.
The only option thus far is a "showdown," which is a contest that covers just an individual round rather than the entire tournament. The largest prize pool for the first-round showdown is $100,000 with a $15 entry fee and 7,843 potential spots. The contest is open to 150 entries per person.
Dustin Johnson is the highest-priced player in the field and one of four golfers in the $10,000 range. DJ comes in at $10,700.
Following him is Talor Gooch ($10,400), Louis Oosthuizen ($10,300) and Koepka ($10,000).
The $9,000 range features Abraham Ancer ($9,900), Bryson DeChambeau ($9,800), Patrick Reed ($9,600), Sergio Garcia ($9,300) and Sam Horsfield ($9,100).
Other notable names in the field include Wolff and Pat Perez, who will be making their LIV debuts.
Charl Schwartzel won the first event and comes in at $8,700.
Phil Mickelson has a $7,500 price for the first round. That puts him behind the likes of Lee Westwood, Justin Harding, Ortiz and Graeme McDowell.
The tournament begins Thursday with the final round scheduled for Saturday. The tournaments are just three rounds with no cut. The players tee off at the same time with a shotgun start.
