The Luis Rojas experiment never panned out, leaving the Mets with a .464 winning percentage over the manager’s two-year tenure. The Mets have now missed the postseason for five straight years.
Beltran, the favorite in this field at +650, has ties to the Big Apple.
On top of six-plus seasons on the diamond, he was hired to manage the club following the 2019 campaign — however, he and the franchise parted ways before he could even record a game due to his involvement in the Astros’ sign-stealing scandal.
Showalter (+1500) always circulates buzz in the manager carousel. He’s been out of the game since 2018 following a nine-year stint with the O’s which included three playoff appearances.
Espada (+950) and Quatraro (+1400) are among the notable active bench coaches, serving for the Astros and Rays, respectively.
