Blue Jays vs Angels MLB Betting Preview

Again, Angels vs. Blue Jays. Oswald Peraza has gotten off to a nice little start in Anaheim. I'm not sure how sustainable it is, but he's still just 26. I'll be keeping an eye on him as he does a little damage behind Mike Trout, Jo Adell, Zach Neto, etc.

He already has four home runs this year. He hit just nine total in parts of four seasons, first in New York with the Yankees, and then last year in Anaheim after coming over via trade. He also has 17 hits this year, and nearly half of them have gone for extra bases. His BABIP is a lot higher than his career rate, as expected.

With a hot start like this, it's still just .310 — that's not unsustainably high. And he's striking out a lot less, too. I don't think he's going to sit there and run a .530 slugging percentage all season long, but again, I'm just taking notice.

Blue Jays vs Angels Pick, Betting Analysis

I like this matchup tonight against Patrick Corbin. Peraza grades out well against Corbin's three primary offerings — slider, sinker, cutter. His total bases price is still high enough to warrant a sprinkle.

And again, we'll be keeping an eye on him to see how sustainable his production really is. So I've got Peraza 2+ total bases at +200.

Pick: Oswald Peraza 2+ Total Bases
