We move into Game 2 of this crucial series between the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees. The Blue Jays were victorious in Game 1, and so were we as Yusei Kikuchi delivered five solid innings last night, cashing our over pitching outs bet.

Kikuchi could have gone longer but left early due to cramping because he did not get his typical 14 hours of sleep. With sleep issues not expected to be a problem in this matchup for either side, we have a great matchup ahead.

So, what's the best way to bet on tonight's Blue Jays vs. Yankees matchup? Let's take a closer look to find out.

Check out our MLB Betting Hub for more previews from today's slate.

Toronto Blue Jays

Yesterday, I highlighted how the Jays' lineup was in a great spot against Clarke Schmidt, and they delivered. They bashed two homers off Clarke and chased him after five innings, but they did not stop there. Alejandro Kirk added a three-run shot in the top of the ninth to put the game away.

However, Toronto is in for a much tougher day at the plate while contending with Michael King. The dominant setup man for the Yankees has been stretched out to fill a spot in the backend of the starting rotation.

King's brought his wipeout stuff to the first half of games and has had tremendous success. He has allowed no more than one run over his last four starts, in which he's gone at least four innings in each.

Then, behind him is the Yankees bullpen that has the best ERA in the majors by a wide margin. So, we should expect the Blue Jays' bats to take a step back tonight.

New York Yankees

The Yankees' offensive struggles are apparent by now, and last night was another tally in the column for rough nights. New York totaled just one run on six hits against Kikuchi and company.

They have an even tougher matchup tonight with Kevin Gausman on the bump.

Gausman is the ace of the Blue Jays staff and has turned in a number of dominant performances this season.

However, the Yankees have had their fair share of success against Gausman. The current Yankees lineup has hit .262 off Gausman with a .467 slugging percentage. They are due for positive regression since they have made a ton of loud contact against him as well.

New York's xBA against Gausman is .291, and the team's xSLG is much higher at .516. So if the Bronx Bombers can put the ball in play, they'll likely do damage against Gausman.

Betting Pick & Prediction

This is a spot to buy the Yankees even after a rough loss last night. While it may not look like it, they have the edge on the bump with King and a strong pen behind him.

Plus, the Yankees have seen the ball very well off Gausman, which means if they can avoid striking out, they should get on the board early and be able to hold it, thanks to their bullpen.

Pick: Yankees ML +106 (Play to -105)
