Derek Carty’s Reds vs Athletics Preview, Prediction, Betting Analysis
I'm looking at the first five innings moneyline on the A's.
Part of it has to do with Brady Singer, the Reds starter. Although he has an ERA under four, he's another guy who we should expect to regress.
If you look at FanGraphs and his numbers, he should be more like a mid to high four ERA kind of guy, as opposed to a mid to high threes ERA guy. And he has a really wide platoon split because of his arm angle and the kind of pitches he throws.
Plus, the A's have quite a few good lefties that I think can take advantage of him. Obviously, Nick Kurtz, Tyler Soderstrom and Lawrence Butler.
This is a good spot for the Athletics to lead in the first five innings against Singer. This bet is showing good value according to the projections.
