Guardians vs Marlins MLB Betting Preview
The Guardians arrive for this series finale looking to sweep after squeezing out low-scoring wins in the first two contests.
However, generating explosive offense remains a struggle for Cleveland, especially with superstar third baseman José Ramírez sidelined due to a hand injury.
Without their premier run producer in the heart of the order, the Guardians have relied heavily on sharp pitching and defensive execution. Taking the mound for Cleveland is left-hander Joey Cantillo, who has quietly put together an impressive campaign with a 3.66 ERA.
Cantillo was stellar in his last outing against the Twins; despite taking a tough-luck loss, he didn't allow a single earned run over 5.0 innings while racking up seven strikeouts.
His ability to miss bats should play exceptionally well against a Marlins lineup that features multiple high-strikeout bats.
For the Marlins, offense has been just as tough to come by in this series.
After tightly dropping the first two games, Miami turns to right-hander Tyler Phillips to help avoid the sweep. Phillips enters with a clean 3.28 ERA and is coming off a dominant performance against the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday.
In that outing, Phillips scattered four hits over 5.0 scoreless innings, striking out three to pick up a quality win.
Operating in a pitcher-friendly home park, Phillips has the command and groundball profile needed to keep a depleted Guardians order in check.

Guardians vs Marlins Pick, Betting Analysis
The first two games of this series set a clear tone, with both contests staying under the total as pitch-dominated affairs.
There is little reason to expect a sudden offensive explosion in the finale. With Cantillo fresh off a seven-strikeout, zero-earned-run gem, Phillips coming off 5.0 shutout frames, and Cleveland missing Ramírez's bat in the middle of the order, runs will be at a premium once again in Miami.
