Diamondbacks vs Rangers PrizePicks for World Series Game 2

Game 2 of the World Series gets underway this evening as the Texas Rangers take on the Arizona Diamondbacks at Globe Life Field.

Christian Walker Fantasy Score Less Than 6.5
Left-hander Jordan Montgomery takes the mound for Texas in Game 2 and should be a good candidate to back.
Putting together a tremendous regular season, Montgomery posted a 3.20 ERA and 1.19 WHIP through 32 starts. This success continued into the postseason, posting a 3-0 record with a 2.16 ERA and 1.28 WHIP through five appearances on the mound.
That brings us to Christian Walker, who has failed to really get it going in these playoffs. Through 13 games, he possesses a .163 BA, .302 SLG and .653 OPS.
This lack of success is likely to continue against Montgomery, a pitcher whom Walker is just 1-for-6 in his career against. Additionally, Walker's splits take an approximately 10% dip this year when batting away from Chase Field.
Corey Seager Fantasy Score Less Than 7.5
Arizona is tossing out a reliable pitcher as well with right-hander Merrill Kelly.
Through 30 regular season starts, Kelly posted a 12-8 record with a 3.29 ERA and 1.19 WHIP. Like Montgomery, this success continued into the postseason as Kelly is 2-1 with a 2.65 ERA and 1.00 WHIP through three starts.
The first Texas hitter to fade is Corey Seager, who was one of the heroes in Game 1 with a game-tying two-run bomb in the bottom of the ninth. If there was ever a let-down spot, it would be in Game 2 following those heroics.
Through five career at-bats against Kelly, Seager is hitless.
Mitch Garver Less Than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI
The other Rangers hitter to fade in Game 2 is Mitch Garver, who has failed to surpass this figure in five of his past eight games. Over that span, he possesses a .222 BA, .370 SLG and .734 OPS.
He has never faced Kelly prior to Saturday, so it may take a few rotations through the batting order to attempt to figure the right-hander out. Garver's postseason stats are a bit inflated due to his terrific efforts in Game 6 of the ALCS against Houston.
In his other nine playoff games, he is just 7-for-33 at the plate with five singles.
