Los Angeles Dodgers Betting Preview: Great Against Lefties

There has been an incredible amount of runs for a series taking place in San Francisco as the Dodgers exploded for 13 runs to even up the series. They are in line to stay hot at the plate: they face Robbie Ray this afternoon.

Ray has been a big part of the Giants' success this season, but has begun to fade down the stretch. Over his last seven starts, he holds a 5.02 ERA, a 4.32 WHIP, and his CSW is well below average at 25.2 percent.

He is ripe for the Dodgers to pick on as they've hit lefties well all year long. The Dodgers are fourth in wRC+ and OPS against southpaws.

Look for the Dodgers to get to Ray early, as his leash will be short with them in the thick of a Wild Card race.

San Francisco Giants Betting Preview: Tough Matchup vs. Glasnow

The Giants' run since the trade deadline has been one of the biggest surprises of the season. This is a team that sold many crucial pieces and now sits just a half-game out of the playoff picture.

However, getting back to their winning ways will be tough this afternoon. They'll have to contend with Tyler Glasnow.

The Dodgers starter has had some fits with command, but still has elite stuff and is one of the game's best strikeout artists. He is a bad matchup for a Giants team that has whiffed more often over the last month.

To make matters worse, the Giants will likely see a lot of Glasnow in this one, as the Dodgers' bullpen is taxed after yesterday's game. The key to their success this afternoon is discipline, but whether or not they can display it remains to be seen.

Dodgers vs Giants Prediction, Betting Analysis

While this matchup looks to be in favor of the Dodgers, the bullpens are a complete question mark on both sides. However, when looking at the starters, it's clear Robbie Ray is in a tough spot and is far from his best form.

Fade Ray, as the Dodgers should create traffic against him early.

Again, the team's circumstances are shortening his leash, especially with available arms in the bullpen that can provide length.

Pick: Robbie Ray Under 17.5 Pitching Outs (-125, bet365)

Moneyline

I lean towards the Dodgers in this one.

Run Line (Spread)

No play on the run line.

Over/Under

I'm not interested in the total for this game.
