Starting on the mound for the Mariners is Luis Castillo, who has been performing exceptionally well in the NRFI category this season. With an impressive 11-2 NRFI record — including a remarkable 7-1 home NRFI split — Castillo has been dominant in limiting hits and runs in the first inning.

His overall NRFI record since last season stands at 30-8. He has outstanding numbers the first time through the order, allowing only 18 hits and 110 innings pitched, resulting in a .164 batting average against him.

Additionally, the Marlins have struggled in the first inning over the past 14 days, owning a .149 batting average in 50 plate appearances. When facing these Marlins hitters directly, Castillo has also had success. He's held Yuli Gurriel to a 1-5 record, Bryan de la Cruz to a 1-3 record, Garrett Cooper to a 0-3 record, Joey Wendle to a 0-4 record and Jean Segura to a 0-3 record.

On the opposing side, the Marlins will be represented by their up-and-coming superstar, Eury Perez. Perez has been making waves in the NRFI category this season, boasting a flawless 6-0 NRFI record that includes an impressive 3-0 road split.

When facing batters for the first time through the order, Perez has allowed only 10 hits in 49 at-bats, resulting in a .204 batting average. As a rookie, Perez has yet to face any of Seattle's hitters, which could work significantly to his advantage.

Additionally, Perez benefits from certain Mariners hitters who are currently in a slump. Cal Raleigh has registered only one hit in his last 13 at-bats, while Julio Rodriguez has five hits in his last 26 at-bats.

This NRFI is listed at -150 at both DraftKings and FanDuel.

As always, six outs to glory…
