Our first custom NRFI selection today features Zac Gallen, the veteran from the Diamondbacks.
This season, Gallen boasts a 24-7 record to the NRFI, with an impressive 12-2 home NRFI split. This makes Gallen 26-4 to the NRFI when pitching at home since 2022.
His advantage today lies in his past performances against the Giants' hitters. Notably, he's held his own against players like J.D. Davis (1-for-8), Joc Pederson (2-for-21), LaMonte Wade Jr. (3-for-19), Wilmer Flores (2-for-13) and Brandon Crawford (4-for-22).
Additionally, several Giants hitters are currently in a significant slump, including Mike Yastrzemski and Mitch Haniger, who both have just three hits in their last 28 at-bats (.150 average).
Pederson is also struggling, with three hits in his last 15 at-bats for a .200 average.

This season, Castillo holds a 22-8 NRFI record with a 10-4 road NRFI split.
Historically, Castillo has held his own against the Athletics' hitters, with notable performances against Tony Kemp (4-for-14), Seth Brown (3-for-10) and Brent Rooker (0-for-6).
His advantage today is further enhanced by the slumping Shea Langeliers — who has just two hits in his last 20 at-bats for a .100 average — and Kemp — only three hits in his last 16 at-bats for a .188 average.
It's worth noting that the Athletics currently have the worst home NRFI percentage in the league at 80% this season.
