Today, we set our sights on Citizens Bank Park, where an enticing NRFI proposition lies between two National League adversaries in the Philadelphia Phillies and the Chicago Cubs.

First to the mound for the Phillies is left-hander Ranger Suarez.

Despite a delayed start to the season due to injury, Suarez managed to secure an NRFI in his first outing against the Rockies. This puts his NRFI record at an impressive 22-7 since 2022.

Over the past week, the Cubs have struggled at the plate in the first inning, managing just four hits in 23 plate appearances for a dismal .190 average.

Suarez has traditionally held strong against this Cubs lineup, limiting Dansby Swanson to a 2-for-20 mark, Ian Happ to 1-for-7, Cody Bellinger to 1-for-7 and Christopher Morel to 0-2.

Additionally, the Cubs own the worst strikeout percentage in the league over the last week, getting fanned 30% of the time over the last seven days.

On the other side of this NRFI bet is Cubs ace Marcus Stroman. His nearly flawless 8-1 NRFI mark this season takes his overall NRFI record to an astounding 29-4 since 2022.

Stroman has been particularly formidable against lead-off hitters, allowing just three hits in 24 at-bats for a paltry .125 average.

Much like Suarez, Stroman has boasted excellent numbers against Phillies hitters, holding Bryce Harper to 1-for-13, Alec Bohm to 1-for-15, Nick Castellanos to 3-for-23, Kyle Schwarber to 3-for-12 and Trea Turner to 2-for-10.

Despite the potential firepower of the Phillies lineup, they've been the worst first-inning team at home this season with a .150 average from just nine hits in 64 at-bats.

With FanDuel pricing this NRFI bet at an appealing -104 as of writing, there lies a valuable opportunity for those looking to cash in on this intriguing first-inning matchup.

As always six outs to glory…
