In Monday’s late game, the Oakland Athletics face off with the Seattle Mariners in a pivotal AL West showdown.

Seattle is two games back of the last wild-card spot, while Oakland sits three games back heading into Monday’s matchup.

The Mariners will have right-handed pitcher Chris Flexen on the mound, facing off against Athletics lefty starter Cole Irvin. Irvin comes into Monday with a 10-14 record and a 3.99 ERA.

Irvin has lost three of his last five starts and has given up at least three earned runs in all of those losses.

Flexen is actually a relief pitcher, helping Seattle’s bullpen as a whole become strong in helping the Mariners bridge the gap between starting pitcher appearances.

Despite the two hurlers having decent numbers coming into Monday night, our latest MLB PRO Report suggests that the over could be in play.

Let’s take a look.

MLB Picks: Athletics vs. Mariners Odds

Sharp Action

The total for Athletics vs. Mariners opened up at 8.5.

The total has seen some action but ultimately stayed steady, settling at that same figure of 8.5 runs, as shown through our Action Labs Bet Signals.

Big Money

At the time of writing, the 34% of bettors backing the over have generated 61% of the money wagered on Monday’s game.

This 27% difference is a sign that the biggest bets being placed are being wagered on the over. This is also a sign that sharp bettors are likely supporting the over as well on Monday night.
