The divisional series round continues on Thursday with Brewers-Cubs and Phillies-Dodgers.

Let’s discuss my favorite Underdog and PrizePicks picks for the MLB Playoff games on Thursday, Oct. 9.

MLB Player Props: Best PrizePicks Plays

  • Cristopher Sanchez More Than 5.5 Strikeouts
  • Teoscar Hernandez More Than 5.5 Hitter Fantasy Score
  • Freddy Peralta Less Than 6 Strikeouts

Cristopher Sanchez

More Than 5.5 Strikeouts

Cristopher Sanchez has been excellent all season long for the Phillies and put together an admirable effort in Game 1 of the NLDS.

The southpaw tossed 5 2/3 innings and amassed eight strikeouts against a Dodgers team that is far better equipped against lefties than right-handed pitching.

I like Sanchez to get over 5.5 strikeouts tonight, despite what could be a short leash given the circumstances of an elimination game.

Pick: More Than 5.5 Hitter Fantasy Score

Teoscar Hernandez

More Than 5.5 Hitter Fantasy Score

Teoscar Hernandez has been one of the Dodgers’ most consistent bats through the first five games of the postseason and gets a favorable matchup against the lefty Sanchez.

Even in a down year, Hernandez was better against southpaws in 2025, evidenced by a .217 ISO and 106 wRC+ against that handedness.

Sanchez is not an easy lefty to face, but Hernandez seems to be seeing the ball as well as he has all season.

Pick: More Than 5.5 Hitter Fantasy Score

Freddy Peralta

Less Than 6 Strikeouts

Freddy Peralta is one of MLB’s premier strikeout pitchers and is coming off an excellent nine-strikeout performance against the Cubs in Game 1 of the NLDS.

However, the Brewers are looking to end this series tonight and have the bullpen near fully rested to be able to pull Peralta at the first sign of trouble.

Peralta is already a pitcher who struggles to get deep into games, so if he fails to go five innings, there is a strong chance a lack of strikeouts will come with it.

Pick: Less Than 6 Strikeouts

MLB Playoff Props: Best Picks For Underdog Entries

  • Tyler Glasnow Higher Than 6.5 Strikeouts
  • Jackson Chourio Higher Than 1.5 Hits
  • Matthew Boyd Higher Than 2.5 Strikeouts

Tyler Glasnow

Higher Than 6.5 Strikeouts

Tyler Glasnow’s usage has been fairly sporadic throughout the past few weeks as he closed the season in a clear-cut rotation spot.

However, his lone appearance in the postseason for the Dodgers was out of the bullpen.

He is on four days of rest after tossing 34 pitches in relief in Game 1. I expect him to be at his best tonight, given his minimal usage in recent weeks.

Pick: Higher Than 6.5 Strikeouts

Jackson Chourio

Higher Than 1.5 Hits

Jackson Chourio is one of the game’s premier young talents, and he has put it on full display to start Milwaukee’s playoff run.

Despite playing through a hamstring injury, Chourio is 6-for-11 with three extra-base hits in the NLDS.

I don’t expect the star outfielder to slow down, especially against a Cubs pitching staff that seems unlikely to piece together 27 outs of dominance.

Pick: Higher Than 1.5 Hits

Matthew Boyd

Higher Than 2.5 Strikeouts

Matthew Boyd is unlikely to go very deep in this game for the Cubs, but the number attached to his strikeout total at Underdog seems comically low.

If Boyd is effective early, the Cubs simply will not take him out, given that they are already running on fumes pitching-wise.

Boyd has shown the ability to rack up strikeouts in his career despite the 21.4 K% he put up in 2025.

Expect the southpaw to get a mere three strikeouts against Milwaukee.

Pick: Higher Than 2.5 Strikeouts
