  • Sharp action has hit two MLB over/unders on Tuesday's slate.
  • The Action Network's tools reveal how the pros are playing Angels vs. Yankees (6:35 p.m. ET) and Giants vs. Red Sox (7:10 p.m. ET).

This time of year, baseball takes a backseat nearly every day of the week. Most weeks see at least five days of football, but Tuesdays and Wednesdays, well, those are America's Pastime's remaining nights in the spotlight.

Of course, sharps are betting baseball regardless of what day it is. On these nights, though, they might be met with a slightly bigger opposition as the public returns to the diamond.

That's been the case tonight, as both of the plays on tonight's sharp card have come against a heavily public side.

Los Angeles Angels @ New York Yankees

6:35 p.m. ET | Jose Suarez (2-6, 6.94 ERA) vs. Luis Severino (0-0, -.– ERA)

The most lopsided bet on Tuesday's MLB slate comes by way of the Angels-Yankees over/under. Eighty-eight percent of tickets have hit the over in Luis Severino's return, but they've interestingly covered just 54% of the actual money being bet on the total.

That means bigger bettors are taking the under, which also means there's a good chance that sharps are among that minority.

Sports Insights' Bet Signals — which identify instances of professional action in the betting market — have triggered two moves on the under at 9.5, which has continued the movement on this total down from 10. The under is now juiced up to -120, meaning another half-run move is not out of the question.

For what it's worth, the public is generally wrong when it loads up on an over in a near-unanimous fashion. Overs getting more than 85% of bets have gone 138-174-10 (44.2%) since 2005.

Of course, today's percentage holding up over the next several hours leading up to first pitch is not a given, and I'd say it's probably even unlikely.

Sharp angle: Under (moved from 10 to 9.5)

San Francisco Giants @ Boston Red Sox

7:10 p.m. ET | Logan Webb (1-2, 6.75 ERA) vs. Nathan Eovaldi (1-0, 5.81 ERA)

A similar story is taking place in Boston tonight as another Cali club makes its way across the country.

This total opened a nudge higher at 10.5, and just as was the case in the Bronx, bettors are expecting the two sides to reach that mark. Seventy-one percent of bettors have taken the over, but the number is now down to 10.

In this case, the 71% backing over the over has generated just 13% of actual money being wagered.

Two more SI Bet Signals have lit up on the under (at 10.5), confirming that sharps are once again behind the line fall.

Sharp angle: Under (moved from 10.5 to 10)
