While it was just NFL preseason action, the combination of football, baseball, golf and even a fun NASCAR race showed that the dog days of summer are officially over when it comes to the sports calendar.
In comparison, Monday's slate feels extremely quiet, with baseball doing all of the heavy lifting for sports fans and bettors.
