The Los Angeles Dodgers fought their way back to force a Game 7 and are once again favored to win the World Series.

Two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani is expected to open the game on the mound for the Dodgers, and he is just as dominant on the mound as he is at the plate. Through 14 starts this season, Ohtani posted a 2.87 ERA and 1.04 WHIP.

His underlying metrics were even more impressive, as the right-hander finished with a 2.45 xERA and .218 xBA.

The Dodgers’ offensive success is likely to continue against right-hander Max Scherzer, who gets the ball for the Toronto Blue Jays. Father Time caught up to Scherzer this year, as the right-hander finished with a 5.19 ERA and 1.29 WHIP through 17 starts.

Scherzer particularly struggled in his Game 3 start against Los Angeles, a game in which he allowed two homers and was charged with three earned runs in just over four innings. He has now faced the Dodgers twice this year and is 0-1 over those two outings, with a 4.35 ERA and 1.45 WHIP.

Not only does the pitching edge go to Los Angeles, but so does the hitting advantage. This season, the Dodgers outranked Toronto in nearly every major offensive category.

The Blue Jays’ lone advantage is playing in front of a passionate home crowd, but that is not enough to offset all the other variables.

Pick: Dodgers ML -140

Charlie Wright's Dodgers vs Blue Jays Best Bet: Short Start for Ohtani

Shohei Ohtani Under 9.5 Outs (+100)

By Charlie Wright

Shohei Ohtani is pitching on short rest after tossing 93 pitches in Game 4 on Tuesday.

I’m expecting him to be limited to one time through the order.

This is obviously a do-or-die spot, and Los Angeles has several length options available in the bullpen, such as Emmet Sheehan, Jack Dreyer and Clayton Kershaw.

Pick: Shohei Ohtani Under 9.5 Outs (+100)

PRO's Dodgers vs Blue Jays Best Bet: Fade Shohei's Ks

Shohei Ohtani Under 4.5 Strikeouts (-120)

By Action PRO

PRO projects Dodgers starter Shohei Ohtani with 3.83 strikeouts tonight, which represents an excellent 11.7% edge against the market.

Ohtani will probably have a short leash tonight. In Game 4, he fanned six batters but had to go six complete innings to do it, which is unlikely to happen in Game 7.

In addition, the Blue Jays are notoriously patient hitters and less prone to striking out.

The under offers excellent value, especially considering Ohtani's three days' rest.

Pick: Shohei Ohtani Under 4.5 Strikeouts (-120)
