For my Tuesday MLB player props, I'll be targeting three players tonight: Kyle Bradish, Bryce Harper and Will Warren.
Let's dive into my MLB player prop picks for the MLB games on Tuesday, September 9.
MLB Player Props for September 9, 2025
- Kyle Bradish Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+125, Fanatics)
- Bryce Harper Over 1.5 Total Bases (+120, Fanatics)
- Will Warren Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+110, DraftKings)
Pirates vs Orioles Player Props: Bradish Set to Rack Up Strikeouts
In 2023, Kyle Bradish made the All-MLB second team after going 12-7 with a 2.83 ERA. Baltimore was dealt a blow to its playoff run when he was limited to eight starts last season. He has made two starts since returning and one thing that has remained consistent is he has averaged a strikeout or more per inning over the last three years. He had 53 strikeouts in 39 and 1/3 innings last year and he has 15 through 10 innings this year.
Bradish fanned 10 in his season debut against the Red Sox on his home mound. The Orioles are at home again where Bradish will take on the Pirates, who offer a promising matchup for him. Pittsburgh has the fourth-highest strikeout rate overall this season and strike out 24.7% of the time on the road. Each of the last five starters the Pirates have faced have recorded at six strikeouts with two of them recording eight.
Bradish is not too familiar with this Pirates lineup, but the ones who have faced him have not had much success. Collectively, Pirates hitters are 3-for-20 (.150) with nine strikeouts, including three Ks for Andrew McCutchen and five for Tommy Pham. Add Oneil Cruz to the mix – who is coming off a golden sombrero- and Bradish could pile up the Ks quickly.
Bradish has gone over 80 pitches in each of his first two starts, so he should be good for at least five innings. I am also interested in his outs recorded line (15.5) tonight. However, if Bradish works into the sixth inning tonight, he likely does so with seven or more strikeouts, so I prefer the price with his strikeouts tonight.
Mets vs Phillies Player Props: Harper Looks to Clear Total Bases Line
The Phillies took the opening game of the series from the Mets 1-0 last night and have opened up an eight-game lead in the NL East. Harper did not find the hit column last night, but he will look to do so for the fourth time in five games tonight. He will have the matchup to do so against Sean Manaea.
Harper has gotten the best of this matchup as he is 6-for-16 (.375) with two doubles, a runs" target="_blank" rel="noopener">home run, two RBI, and a 1.063 OPS. Harper has a higher OPS against right-handed pitchers, but his batting average (.271) is slightly higher against lefties. Meanwhile, Manaea has allowed 17 extra-base hits in 45 innings this season. He has a 5.60 ERA and allowed four runs or more in five of his last six starts.
At home, Harper is hitting .296 with a .954 OPS compared to .234 with a .752 OPS on the road. With the injury to Trea Turner, Harper was in the leadoff spot last night. If Manaea continues to struggle, Harper could get a fifth at-bat to clear this line even though the Phillies are at home tonight.
Tigers vs Yankees Player Props: Warren Eyeing Strikeout Milestone
In a season in which the Yankees have been without Gerrit Cole and Luis Gil while dealing with poor performance from others, Will Warren has stepped up at the back end of the rotation. While he carries a 4.28 ERA and 4.48 xERA, Warren has logged 141 innings while recording 153 strikeouts. He has run into some difficult matchups of late against the Cardinals, Red Sox, White Sox, and Astros and has just 14 strikeouts in his last four starts.
Of that group, only the Red Sox rank in the top 10 in strikeout rate. Tonight, he gets the Tigers, who have the fifth-highest strikeout rate this season. The Tigers averaged 9.3 strikeouts over their past six games. Top power threats Riley Greene, Spencer Torkelson, and Kerry Carpenter each have at least five strikeouts and a strikeout rate of at least 28% in that span. Warren has not faced the Tigers before, which should work to his advantage the first time through the order.
Getting to five innings may be the key for Warren tonight. He has recorded at least six strikeouts when completing five innings 10 times this season and has the matchup to do so once again.
