  • During a full MLB slate on Wednesday featuring 15 games, there is a lot of value to be had on the player props market.
  • Jules Posner is focusing on two angles, though.
  • Our expert is backing two players, including an American League star.

There's a full MLB slate on Wednesday — as usual — which means there's plenty of opportunities to attack the player prop market. I'm focusing on two players in two different AL games for the purposes of this article.

Our Action Labs Props Tool grades each prop on a scale from 1-10, and I’ll be sure to include the grade for each of my betting recommendations in my discussions below.

Isaac Paredes Over 1.5 Total Bases (+130)

Isaac Paredes has found himself a home in Tampa Bay. He's also found a role in the Rays' lineup: he's there to mash LHP at home.

He's done well in that role recently, as well. Since June, Parades is hitting .400 against LHP at home, and he's posted an impressive .733 ISO over that span, as well.

He also gets at least a couple of looks at Yusei Kikuchi, the Toronto Blue Jays' starter Wednesday afternoon.

Kikuchi has struggled in all situations this season, but right-handed hitters have teed off on him on the road this season. He's given up a .321 batting average against and a .500 SLG on the road to right-handed hitters, so this seems like a great opportunity for Paredes to cash in on over 1.5 total bases.

Paredes has been in a little bit of a funk lately, but this is a prime matchup for him, as he gets to square off against one of the more fadeable pitchers in the league.

I think this could be a solid play in potential plus-money territory.

Yordan Alvarez Over 1.5 Total Bases

Red Sox @ Astros

Yordan Alvarez has been a terror all season for opposing pitchers, and he gets a prime matchup Wednesday afternoon.

Rookie Brayan Bello gets the start for the Boston Red Sox, and he's been very rudely welcomed to MLB.

Bello has had a particularly hard time against left-handed hitters on the road. So far, Bello has surrendered a .385 batting average against and a .462 SLG to left-handed hitters on the road.

Now he's going to have to deal with arguably the best left-handed bat in the league.

Over Alvarez's last 65 plate appearances against RHP at home, he's batting .352 with a .463 ISO. He's had a little bit of a slow start by his standards coming out of the All-Star break, but this is a good opportunity for Alvarez to cash in on over 1.5 total bases.

Pick: Over 1.5 Total Bases

Action Labs Grade: 10/10
