NBA Player Prop Bet Picks: Brandon Ingram, Josh Richardson Offering Betting Value Saturday

Brandon Ingram, New Orleans Pelicans

The Prop:  Under 4.5 assists (Bet Now at FanDuel)

Brandon Ingram began the Pelicans' game Thursday showcasing why he's an up-and-coming shot creator. With Zion Williamson playing sparingly, Ingram had the ball in his hands often.

That will be the case again Saturday night. According to Jack Maloney of CBS Sports, Pelicans general manager David Griffin said Williamson won't play "significant minutes" against the Clippers. Williamson played 15 minutes in the loss to the Utah Jazz.

Ingram didn't have a single assist on Thursday, and he scored 23 points on 7-of-20 shooting. With Ingram poised to shoot in high volume again, he likely won't be setting up his teammates much. He's dished a career-high 4.2 assists this season, but he's also scored a career-high 24.2 points.

The Pelicans are 11th in the West and are 3.5 games back from the Memphis Grizzlies. They need to win this game to remain in the playoff hunt, and Ingram will need to be the star. Our prop tool projects Ingram will dish 3.8 assists; I would choose the under here and bet to 3.5.

Josh Richardson, Philadelphia 76ers

The Prop: Over 12.5 points (Bet Now at FanDuel)

Josh Richardson hasn't had a good first season with the 76ers, but that's partly because of the team's mediocre offense. The Sixers rank 16th in points per 100 possessions (108.2) this season.

Richardson hasn't been a primary or even secondary shot creator with Philly, and his 3-point shooting has dipped, too.

But his two performances against the Pacers have been bright spots in an otherwise up-and-down season.

Our prop tool projects Richardson will score 13.7 points. And he's been great against Indiana this season.

Richardson has only scored 20-plus points 10 times this season, and two of those games were against the Pacers.  He has had slightly better performances against the Pacers.

According to NBA.com stats, Richardson has shot 45.5% from the field against Indiana.

I would take the over 12.5 here and bet to 13.5.
