The Brooklyn Nets (0-3) and Boston Celtics (2-1) will face off in the NBA tonight. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET from TD Garden in Boston, Mass. The game will broadcast live on NBCS-BOS and can be traded on Polymarket.

The Celtics are 11.5-point favorites over the Nets on the spread, with the over/under set at 222.5 points. The Celtics are the preferred trading option, while the Nets will be looking to pull off an upset.

Let's get into my Nets vs. Celtics predictions and NBA picks for Tuesday, October 27.

Nets vs Celtics NBA Preview

So far in this brief season, which started a week ago, the Celtics have righted the ship after an opening day flop against the Pistons.

Late last week, the Cs took care of the Knicks at home in a nail-biter. Last night, they destroyed the Bulls 134-99 at home, which is where they'll await the Nets.

Brooklyn is still searching for its first win of the season after close losses to the Hornets and Cavs before failing 136-109 last night against the Pacers.

It's too early to make definitive judgments on these two, but we haven't gotten many surprises heading into tonight.

On the injury report, Devin Carter (mononucleosis) is out for Boston, while Mikel Brown Jr., who sat last night, isn't listed because Brooklyn is still managing him.

Nets vs Celtics Pick, Analysis

In the early sample we have, the Celtics outscored Detroit by three points, the Knicks by one, and the Bulls by 12 in the first half.

The Nets trailed Charlotte by six, Cleveland by 14, and Indiana by nine.

Following the trend, I like Boston to build a nice first-half lead at home.

The Nets are on the road in the second of a back-to-back and are unquestionably closer to the level of Chicago than they are Detroit or New York, even at 0-3.

Plus, the Nets came back against Cleveland in the fourth quarter and played more competitively in the second half than the first.

Nets vs Celtics Trade: Celtics 1H -6.5 (54 cents, Polymarket)
