76ers vs Pistons NBA Preview
The Pistons snapped their four-game skid in emphatic fashion by smacking the Nets by a score of 138-100 two nights ago.
Detroit is still 46-18 and positioned 1st in the Eastern Conference standings by 3.5 games ahead of the Celtics.
The 76ers, at their best, were eight games above .500 through 52 games of the season, but they are hardly hanging onto a top-eight spot these days.
The Sixers are 5-8 straight up since February 9, and they have lost five of their last seven road games.
Injury-wise, here's what we have for tonight's matchup.
Joel Embiid (oblique) and Tyrese Maxey (finger) remain out for the Sixers. Paul George (suspension) is not yet eligible to return — and notably, Adem Bona (back) is questionable.
For the Pistons, Ausar Thompson (ankle) remains out, and Caris LeVert (wrist) is doubtful.
76ers vs Pistons Predictions, Betting Analysis
Jalen Duren over 28.5 points & rebounds is generally a go-to play for me in Pistons' games as of late.
He's gone over this line in eight of his last 10 games — and in fact, he's averaging 34 PR since returning from suspension.
Duren will be facing a 76ers team that has allowed the seventh-most rebounds and seventh-most attempts inside of 5-feet over the last 10 games.
Plus, no Embiid and possibly no Bona, which would indicate a healthy dose of Andre Drummond and Dominick Barlow.
The Sixers are 14.5-point underdogs in this spot.
So, we have blowout potential and possible foul trouble working against us, which is always in play with Duren, but lately it's been toned down.
Pick: Jalen Duren Over 28.5 Points & Rebounds (-120)
