Central Michigan (14-17, 12-14-2 ATS) heads to Athens, Ohio, to take on the Bobcats (16-15, 17-12 ATS) in the the first round of MAC Tournament. The Chippewas comes in losers of nine of their last 10 games. Ohio on the other hand enters this game with wins in three of four.

The Chippewas play the 10th fastest pace in the country at 73.7, according to KenPom, while the Bobcats play right around the NCAA average at 68.1.

In addition, Central Michigan is the sixth-worst team in the nation at defending behind the arc.

They allow opponents to shoot 38.7% from three and has been the worst defensive team during MAC play, ranking last in defensive eFG%, 3P%, and 2P%.

Ohio offensively ranks right around the NCAA average, but 35.7% of their points come from behind the arc. In the first matchup, Ohio won 77-69 and was 13-27 from three, while Central Michigan only shot 4-22 from three.

If Central Michigan can shoot a better percentage from deep, I think this time around the game will be higher scoring.

Given the Chippewas pace, I think this game will be very frenetic if Ohio knocks down a good percentage of threes and builds a lead against Central Michigan. The Chippewas will be look to push the pace to try and keep the game close.

Brian Vander Plas (15.4 PPG, 6.8 RPG) is questionable for the Bobcats, but even if he doesn't play I still think there is value in the over given Central Michigan's tempo.

My model has the total for this game at 155.06, so I think there is plenty of value at 148 and all the way up to 150.

Pick: Over 148
