  • Tonight's college basketball slate isn't doing much for most bettors, but sharps are finding value on two small games.
  • Below you'll find out how they're betting Florida Atlantic vs. Alabama and UL Monroe vs. Texas A&M.

On a fall Monday night, most bettors aren't going to be putting much thought into a college hoops slate that features just a single top 25 team. Monday Night Football is on pace to take in more than 10 times the number of bets of any game across the sports world tonight, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's offering more value.

In fact, sharp bettors have found quite a bit on tonight's uninspiring college basketball slate, and have caused some serious line movement as a result.

This looks to be the game that will close as the most heavily bet on tonight's slate, which, again, isn't saying much. Oddsmakers opened the Tide as 11.5-point favorites, and while that spread has moved up to -12.5, it's been the total that's seen the major impact of sharp betting.

Most sportsbooks opened the number around 147, and it currently sits almost 10 points higher, at 156.5 across the market. The magnitude of that movement is almost always going to serve as an indication of sharp action, and that's been confirmed by betting percentages and Sports Insights' Bet Signals.

Two of those signals — which are triggered whenever a market-wide line move occurs as a result of smart money — have hit the over since opening, coming at lines of 149 and 155.5.

As for the percentages, even though the under has actually been more popular (getting 56% of bets), the over has dominated the actual money split, taking in 84% of the loot. And while that certainly creates a monetary liability on the over, it more importantly reveals the opinion of bigger bettors — the ones more likely to be sharps.

A similarly large line move has taken place in this matchup, though in a different direction.

After opening the total at 141, oddsmakers have been convinced by sharp bettors to drop the number all the way to 133.

In this case, sharps and public bettors have been in agreement, as 67% of bets have landed on the under, but once again, bigger bets (74% of money) have served as an indication that professional money is behind the line move.

Three more SI Bet Signals have also hit this under, further helping drive this total down.
