It's officially Selection Sunday, and as the women's 2024 NCAA Tournament bracket is revealed, one thing is for certain — South Carolina is the team to beat in March and in April.

South Carolina Odds to Win National Title: -135

You read that right. Ahead of Selection Sunday, South Carolina's odds to win the national title are -135. The Gamecocks are in fact odds-on favorites to win the women's 2024 NCAA tournament.

In fact, at FanDuel, you can actually bet on South Carolina vs the field, with South Carolina -135 and the field +105 to win the national title.

Somewhat surprisingly, South Carolina wasn't anywhere near as close to being an odds-on favorite in the preseason. Before the 2023-24 college basketball season, the Gamecocks had +1100 odds to win the national title, which put them behind LSU, UConn, Iowa and Utah.

South Carolina enters the women's 2024 NCAA Tournament undefeated during the 2023-24 season, going 32-0 overall and 16-0 in conference play. Best of luck to the rest of the field — and, of course, to South Carolina.
