Welcome to the first round of March Madness, where the unexpected becomes the ordinary.

At Action Network, we have been tracking sharp money, public money and line moves throughout the week to help you become a more informed bettor. We have tracked sharp action coming in on the total in the first round matchup between the USC Trojans and the Miami Hurricanes.

USC earned the No. 7 seed in the Midwest Region after finishing third in the Pac-12. The Trojans got off to a hot start, winning 13 consecutive games to start the season. They won the most games in program history with a 26-7 overall record.

The Trojans are coming into the tournament having lost three of their lost four games.

Miami won 22 games this season and lost to Duke in the semifinal of the ACC Tournament. The Hurricanes didn't spend any part of the season ranked inside the Top 25 in the AP Poll but do not have a bad loss on their resume.

USC is the 2.5-point favorite in the matchup, although we will be more interested in the total, which is set at 139.5 on most books.
